ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By creating an account or using Gambusa, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms by reference.
ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 13 years old to use Gambusa. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
YOUR ACCOUNT
You are responsible for the security of your password and for all activity under your account. Keep your login information to yourself, and use one account per person. Let us know right away if you believe your account security has been affected.
CONTENT YOU POST
You keep ownership of any photo or text you post. By posting it, you grant Gambusa a license to display, store, and distribute it as part of operating the site, for example showing your catch photo in the feed, on your profile, and in search results.
You must own the rights to anything you upload, or have permission to post it.
Post honestly. Species, location, size, and other details on a catch should be accurate to the best of your knowledge, since this is what makes species pages, range information, and Community Angler Data useful for everyone, not just you.
We do not independently verify user-submitted identifications, sizes, or locations, and none of it should be treated as authoritative. See the Disclaimer section below.
CONDUCT AND COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Using Gambusa, you agree not to:
Harass, threaten, or target another user, or post hate speech.
Post spam, or use the site to promote unrelated products or services without our permission. Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
Post content that is illegal, or that encourages violating fishing regulations, licensing requirements, or size and possession limits wherever you are fishing.
Try to disrupt normal use of the site, or access another user's account without permission.
Try to work around our content moderation, including the automated filters described below.
Full community expectations are in our Community Guidelines, which you agree to follow as part of these Terms.
MODERATION AND ENFORCEMENT
Other users can report content that appears to violate these Terms, and new submissions are checked against a moderator-maintained word list before being posted. We may review, remove, or restrict access to any content, and may suspend or end accounts, at our discretion, for violations of these Terms or the
Community Guidelines. We are not obligated to act on every report, and acting on one does not obligate us to act the same way on similar reports later.
DISCLAIMER: FISHING AND SPECIES IDENTIFICATION
Gambusa is a community logging and identification tool, not a substitute for professional or official sources. Species identifications, size and range information, and location data on the site are submitted by users or compiled from community activity, and may be inaccurate or out of date. Always verify identification and local fishing regulations independently, through your state or local wildlife agency, before harvesting, keeping, or releasing any fish based on information from this site.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Gambusa's moon and tide feature relies on NOAA's public tide-prediction API. We do not control NOAA's availability or accuracy, and that feature may be unavailable or show incomplete data if NOAA's service is down.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Gambusa name, logo, and site design are ours. These Terms do not grant you any rights to them beyond normal use of the site.
ENDING YOUR ACCOUNT
You may delete your account at any time. See Account Settings and our Privacy Policy for what account deletion does and does not remove. We may suspend or end your account for violating these Terms, protecting the site, or if required by law.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
Gambusa is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any content on it, including species identifications, range data, or catch information, is accurate or complete.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, Gambusa and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including reliance on user-submitted content when fishing, harvesting, or making decisions about local regulations.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms as the site changes. Continuing to use Gambusa after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top.
